Yes, the 305-HP 3.6L Pentastar® V6 is an excellent engine. The Dual Variable Value Timing lets the engine recycle energy instead of rejecting it as heat, improving engine breathing and delivering optimum performance. It is teamed with the five-speed automatic, and delivers 268 lb-ft of torque. It's also Flex Fuel Capable.

Save up for a while or buy a used one with a V8. The pentstar V6 is great engine but its still a V6 in a muscle car. The 5.7 hemi puts out 375hp vs the 3.6 pentstars 305, if you test drive them both you will notice the difference. You also won't get that V8 roar, and challengers that don't a least say R/T on them get little respect on the streets.

Do not buy v6 muscle cars bc you don't have the money huge waste, no one respects v6 versions of muscle cars. The engines rated at 305 but probably puts 250 hp to the wheels. Go with something a little older or used, don't be that guy with the v6 muscle car.
