what is the firing order of a 89 dodge Caravan with a 3.0L V6?

replacing my distributer cap and i have all the wires wrong so i need to know what the order is?

The firing order is: 1-2-3-4-5-6. On that motor, the distributor rotates counter-clockwise. Also, the cap is a little screwy. The wires will go into the cap in a different order than the firing order. On the top of the cap, the wires go in this order (counter-clockwise): 1-3-5-4-6-2

The 3.0 has a funny distributor cap. Look inside of it and you will see that is crosses inside the cap. Most caps have the cylinder numbers on the outside of the cap, for aesthetic looks in having the plug wires run alongside each other.



Due to the cross contacts inside the cap, the wires are installed as 1,2,3,4,5,6. If all cylinders aren't listed, cylinder one should be (if an aftermarket cap)
