i need help finding out where is the relay sitting or installed is it inside or outside. Im looking for a relay for dodge caravan 2005 where its located in the van. i couldn't find it because the radiator fan stopped running. and my van is over heated. the relay is for the radiator fan.

the factory one should be mounted on the inner fender well right next to the radiator on it,if your going to keep this van you should purchase a good repair manual for it they are very helpful, good luck.

There are a number of relays at the power centre. Check the lid of the fuse and relay centre this will show you which relay is for what. You can also switch a relay with another relay to see if the fan relay is the problem. Also the fan won't start until it reaches a certain temperature approx. 220 f if the ambient temp is cold it might not come on at all.

Oh Oh. I'm guessing a leaking windsheild. How long ago was the windshield replaced?? The way I see it is water is leaking from the windshield, behind the dash (so possible bottom of the window) and screwing all the wiring under there. Take it to where you got the window done. I used to check with foaming glass cleaner and compressed air to find where the foam bubbles.. I have a 2005 Caravan and worked with automotive glass to two years, leaks can easily happen in the urethane is not cured properly before you took it home, or just an oversite on the techs. part and there was a hold in the bead he ran that never got caught before the window was set in. Go after them for the damages too if it turns out the window was leaking.

Judging by your question, you have no idea that you have a bad fan relay.

It could be a bad fan, blown fuse, bad relay, bad temp sensor, or a broken wire.

You need to have this checked out as overheating can mess up the aluminum heads. and wasting money is just plaine bad!

Dodge man is right. Check the radiator fuse in the fuse box too.

Try under the drivers side dash left side or the fuse box under hood left drivers side.

It could be the thermostat---go to the dealer---you can't fix it at home.
