you don't have a cable on that one,you need to change the out put speed sensor on that one and that should restore everything back to working order on it,if you have the computer scanned it may even give you a code for a bad speed sensor,good luck

most likely has to do with the vehicle speed sensor bolted to the rear differential housing (your truck does not have a speedometer cable) If this VSS is not working (or there is a problem with the circuit) the computer will not know how fast you are going therefore cannot engage cruise control. Keep in mind there is more than just the Vehiclce speed sensor, it is just to most common problem

The speed sensor or wiring is bad. The speed sensor for the speedometer is on the output shaft housing on the transmission, driver side. The speed sensor on the differential is for rear anti-lock brakes.

Could be a broken or disconnected speedometer cable.
OR defective speed sensor.
