My friends family has a 2011 F-150 Ecoboost with the 3.5L V-6. My dad has a 2011 1500 RAM with the 5.7L HEMI V-8. I am 15 years old and do not really want a drag racing strike on my license so my question is, how much would my dads HEMI win by?

Eco-boost hands down, sorry dodge.

This is from MotorTrend.........The F150 was 2WD SuperCrew

"the EcoBoost excelled at the track. The twin-turbo propelled the SuperCrew F-150 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds and through the quarter mile in 14.8 seconds at 95.0 mph. The last time we tested a 5.4-liter-powered F-150 was in 2009, when the four-wheel-drive Lariat took 8.1 seconds to hit 60. (And that was with the six-speed automatic. When we tested the 5.4 with the four-speed auto (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/trucks/1106_2011_ford_f_150_lariat_ecoboost_first_test/specs_and_pricing.html#) a few years before that, it took 9.1 seconds.) It's faster than the 4WD Silverado with the 5.3-liter V-8 (7.7 seconds to 60), Hemi-equipped Ram 1500 Laramie (7.0 seconds), rear-drive Titan (7.6 seconds), and 4WD Tundra (6.7 seconds)"

The ecoboost has highest towing, playload, and gas mileage of its class. Very excellent engine. Ecoboost hands down. The person up there that said ram would be better at towing heavy objects is misinformed.

Aside from winning a drag race as the previous answer showed (much better horsepower to weight ratio, pure power isn't everything) the Ford will also get better gas mileage and will last longer. The Dodge, however, will be better at towing heavy objects.
