The 68 and 69 have many interchangeable parts. The main difference between the two are the grill and taillights. The fenders and quarter panels have different side marker lights to.

1. 1968's have round side marker lights; 1969's have no lights- just "reflectors"!

2. 1968's have round taillights; 1969's have elongated ones.

3. different grilles

4. You could get 4 speaker stereo in a 1968- NOT in a 69

5. Any engine that will fit in a 68 will also fit in a 69. The sixes and the Hemi have different crossmembers.

6. The 69 is 35 pounds lighter; why? Who knows......

7. All of the external body parts will interchange, but the taillight panel will require welding!

8. The interiors were better quality in 1968- for some reason.

9. The brake drums on 68's were cheaper castings- fixed in midyear.

10. The 68's had more wiring- and different colors for (some of) it as well.

there's not that many differences in them to really list other than the tail lights and marker lights ,most of the parts interchange on those cars,if you have seen a 68 r/t hemi car price lately you will have seen the price is just as high as 69 charger is,the 69 looked better because of the tail lights it came with ,the 68 is still a very desired car though, anything from a 68-70 is priced at it s highest right now, good luck

yep what he said...minor cosmetic differences. The early 68s have thinner metal on the body compared to the other years, but the parts are all interchangeable.
