Always buy a classic! Seriously financially it makes no sense to buy the new model. Dodge is going to charge through the nose for a depreciating asset which makes no sense. A classic if you get a "good" one well only go up in value. I will add that unfortunately you have chosen a type of car that already increased in value due to the DoH movie last year. If you were to pick another muscle car it would be "better" but i would never buy a "new" car hoping it will become a collector's item.

are you asking what's the best year for a dodge charge? I guess 68. the charger was only around for about twelve years (66-78). Most chargers will go for about 30k+, it really depends on the condition. The charger is a fairly hard car to find, so the best place would be a classic car dealership. Since it is an older car, it won't be under warranty. Most warranties are only for about 5 years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first). Also, because it's an older car, you're gonna have a lot of problems unless it's a completely rebuilt car (which will make it a lot more expensive). The charger is a gorgeous car, but not very common. Most owners now are collectors who use their chargers as a weekend car instead of a daily driver. Personally, I've only seen maybe 4-5

As much as i love old muscle cars.

It sounds like you need a car to drive around in and have much more relaiable.

That new charger will start up every day, and won't give you much trouble at all. It can be warm cold, hot out, and it will start. The ac will blow cold, it will be comfterable, you can drive on the highway and set the cruise. And honestly, it's still fast.

If your lookign for a good weekend cruiser, somethign to take to car shows, possibly some drag racing, and somethign to tinker with get the old one, but beware it will be expensive by the time your done. It's worth it if you are a car guy, but if you don't have a lot of mechanical experience, get the new one, you'll be much happier in the end with a car just as fast, that acctually handles well.

Actually the new Challenger looks better than the new charger so if you want a new car I would for that one but you will have to wait a year or two. Personally I would go with the classic though.

I don't like the way the new Charger looks. It's too much of a family car. Did you consider the Dodge Magnum Srt-8? That is one awesome wagon. You might want to wait a couple years for the all new Challenger. It's gunna be ten times more badass than the Charger.

It really depends on what you're buying it for. Is it going to be a daily driver or a toy? Dodge is bringing back the Super Bee in 2007 based on the Charger platform and the Challenger in I think 08. I saw the new Super Bee and it's really nice! I love the classic B bodys also.

hell... i can't believe you'd ask this question... go classic man, 440 or 426 hemi 6-pack... you just can't go wrong... that and you don't have to worry bout' the stupid computer going out... (never buy a car when it's only been out of 2 years or less, they always have problems, wait til' the vehicals 3rd, 4th, or 5th years)

go for the classic , the older cars have more shape and looks than the newer ones , they aren`t squared . and they are built better as far as body wise and accidents.

are you joking or are you serious?!? you even called the older one "classic." do you need any more reason than that?
