2010 Ford Mustang GT500:

supercharged/intercooled 5.4L DOHC V-8, 540-hp, 510 lb-ft of torque

0 to 60 mph time: 4.3 seconds

quarter mile: 12.5 second @ 116 mph

No way for the 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 to match with that crude 6.1L SRT HEMI V8 they're gonna put in. Will Chrysler see 2010?

You're taking a lot of assumptions that there will even BE a 2010 for Chrysler....

Anyway, the GT500 will do the high 12's in the quarter mile (Edmunds radar gun clocked it at 12.8 seconds in the quarter-mile) while the 4,140 lb behemoth Challenger is claimed by Dodge that the SRT8 thunders to 60 mph in "the low-5-second range" and on to a "quarter-mile time under 14 seconds". When Edmunds last tested a Charger SRT8, they came away with a quarter-mile run of 13.6 seconds.

The GT500 will SMOKE the SRT8!

The camaro is extra positive, via a tremendous margin. the click blackout mandated via GM ended March 21 and comments are available now from Edmunds and automobile and motive force. The Camaro is swifter 0-60, a million/4 mile and six hundred ft slalom than the charger or the Mustang, even as costing an similar. Reviewers say it corners a lot extra positive that the Challenger and Mustang too.

Yeah the mustang is faster, and there may not even be a U.S. Chrysler next year. But if ther is wanna try and put it up against a 2010 Garlits Challenger? 8.7 quarter mile and NHRA certified. the pro stocker will run sub 7 second quarter mile at 215

I'm not sure what the power ratings for both are supposed to be in 2010, but I'd put my money on the GT500 just because it is lighter.

The mustang is a lot faster... more hp, torque and it's lighter. It beats the challenger in almost every "fast" category. The mustang definitely is.

I think they did tests already on them.

And the Mustang was faster... by millionths of a second.

Or maybe that was between the Camaro/Mustang/something else.

If both cars are optioned the same way with no supercharger on the Ford the Challenger will clean its clock. Supercharge both cars and the Challenger will still clean the Fords clock.
