I'm unsure of the question ?, 5th wheels are great. Some are easy to install---but, I've always had the bumper/ trailer places install them. I've had them on everything from my 1999 3500 to may 2006 2500 Ram. They don't require the bed to be removed, they can be mounted to a plate so the 5th wheel hitch can be removed freeing up the bed by removing a few pins (about 5 min to swap in and out) and you don't need to put a lift--all of the necks of the 5th wheel trailers are adjustable that I've run into.

not a very heavy trailer, your 3/4 ton will handle the towing easily. though im not sure what your question really is,so heres some general information about hitches that will handle the weight youve mentioned

for the weight your towing a class iv hitch with weight

distribution will suffice. this style hitch is a "hide-a-hitch" style like a reese bumper type. also a 5th wheel hitch does not require the removal of your truck bed for installation. a 5th wheel is the type semi tractors use that have a large plate thats visible. a gooseneck does require the bed removal in some instances depending on model. this type is most easily recognized by a trailer ball in the middle of the bed.

no need to remove the bed or add a lift. most of these require a few holes to be drilled thru your bed into the frame for mounting rails to which the 5th wheel hitch is mounted with pins (for easy removal when not needed).

I prefer to convert my 5th wheel trailers over to a gooseneck hitch due to my other equipment trailers are gooseneck hitch and makes it easier than having to pull out the 5th wheel hitch to use my other trailers... especially since I have a gooseneck ball in the bed of my truck already, it's about the same price to get the gooseneck adapter for the trailer as it is for the 5th wheel hitch to install in the bed...

that's a lot of weight to put behind a short wheel base truck even with a goose neck hitch on it,it can be done but it would need to go to a hitch shop where they specialize in doing this, and i still don't recommend it being done to a short wheel base, you need at least a 3/4 ton truck and a long wheel base to do this, good luck with it.

Go to a camper specialty place--the bed has got to be removed for installation--not a back yard red neck job. You need a lift too--not a jack or block and tackle.
