I have a 2002 dodge grand caravan it starts but wont idle can anyone help ?

its been running fine until today now it starts but wont idle but once you get it started you can give it a little gas and get it to run as long as you keep reeving the engine as soon as you let off the gas the engine stalls. and also when you get it started and just let it idle it only run rough for a few seconds and the engine stalls help please!

you need to have the computer scanned on it first before you buy any parts for it because a bad throttle position sensor can cause the same thing to happen on it,its not always the idle air control valve that causes that too happen,even low fuel pressure will cause that too happen,good luck with it

A bad throttle position sensor will do exactly that, but there are a few other sensors that could cause the same problem. It can get pricey by trial and error, so you should extract you trouble code(s) to narrow it down to the culprit. I'm not sure how yours works, but every dodge I had you could cycle the key on and off and then back on and the check engine light would flash the code,ie 3 flashes pause and then 2 flashes would be trouble code 32. Any good manual like Haynes will list the codes for the number you retrieve. If you don't want to buy the book, I'm sure you could find the codes by doing a web search, or go to the library.

Idle air control valve go to auto zone or other parts store and get it it takes about five minutes to install but that is your problem.

You MUST pull the codes on a car this new, get a cheap code reader for $50 and see what codes you have then post here.

Put a new battery in it !!! DODGES WILL NOT IDLE WITH A BAD BATTERY IN THEM!!!!
