mikes right on with the problem on that one especially if it has tilt wheel in it ,and those aren't easy to work on,if you get the tilt apart and cant get it back together again most shops wont even bother with it,they will want to replace the whole column in it,so it might be a good idea if you have a shop check this one out, even the ignition switches on those was a real pain to get back in,there was recall on those so you may get lucky and get this one fixed under the recall, dealers will know what to do because they have dealt with these on a daily basis, and in the long run cost you less, good luck.

Well, if you purchased this truck used and not been to a dealership in a long time, there is a recall for water intrusion on or in the power train control module. The recall # is c30. It involves the electrical connector seals to the Power train Control Module, better known as the PCM. If water and moisture can get in there, it can do allot of weird stuff. Check with your local dealership to see if that recall applies. If not, then you have a short in the wiring of your ignition system. I would check near the tilt steering, if the truck is equipped with tilt. It is a big job to check wiring if you are not mechanically inclined. Take it to your local dealership if you can, you may think they are expensive but they really are not. Independent shops will put a part on and if it does not fix it, they still charge you for it. Dealerships do not do that. If it is the recall that I mentioned above, you will not be charged for that. I hope this helps.

while shutting down attempt shifting around the main stunning computing device terminal. If it starts off up precise after there is your problem. Mine had that problem it could **** down and that i will turn the ignition off and the gas won't flow up and that i could flow the terminal and the gas could flow lower back up and start up precise up. changing the computing device terminal ought to make certain your problem merely the way it did to mine. 2000 ward off Ram 1500 5.9
