Check out this website: http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/Dodge/1965/FullLine/65Dodge-index.htm

It might be on one of the pages of the 1965 Dodge brochure.

The GT was at the top of the totem pole for the Dart - it's the top trim level, so it had all the chrome trim and the buckets (and possibly console too, although that may have been optional).

Engines available were the /6 all the way up to the 273-4 rated at 235hp. I *think* there was a ragtop, but not sure . . . in later years there were. But the GT is basically a trim level, just like there was a Coronet Deluxe, 440, and 500.

the gt had different moldings and markings,i got 66 gt waiting to be restored, and its the same as the 65 in looks they also came with the 4 barrel carb, and a 273 high performance engine with solid lifters in it ,the regular dart has the option of having a six cylinder or the 273,but they was two barrel carbs, the gt,s also came with bucket seats and a console, that has a factory option of having a tachometer in it,mine has that option, mine also came factory with a posi trac unit under it,which was probably ordered when the car was bought, they also had a rally wheel cover, which looks very nice on them,in the interior the door has gt emblems on each door and on each door there are lights that come on when you open the door, they look good also, the regular dart didnt,i got mine from the original owner for 4 grand, not bad for a gt model everything is here too no missing parts, this guy ordered this one with every available option including air conditioning, which was really rare, and it works still, the car is driveable but in bad need of a restoration, that im getting ready to do also, the gt also had bumper guards on it,which looks good the regular dart did have this option, the gt,s also came out in a six clinder version if ordered that way, very few of those was actually ordered that way though,i got the original sales sheet with mine with all the options he ordered,i just got lucky on this one, that doesnt happen that often, good luck on findng an orignal in good condition,i know of one more and its not for sale at the present time, but may be later on this year if the guy doesnt get started on restoring it,their hard to find now days.

They were basically the same auto except the GT was a "sporty" model. The GT had bucket seats and console, "GT" insignia, came only as a two door hardtop, probably a few other touches I've forgotten about. Check out the website "allpar.com", just click on Dart when you get there. Great site.
