Why My Dodge Durango I need to keep adding Coolant every 2-3 month? There is no sing of Coolant Leak. What could it be? Bad heater core the capet is not wet the vechile have no a/c also the preview owner told me the reason why the vechile dont have a/c or heater is because of a bad heater core. It this may cause me to keep adding coolant? Should I fix it? the less money I spend on this the better.

Tend to agree with Dodge Man, I had a vehicle that I kept adding coolant to, it was a head gasket but it was leaking outside of the engine onto the manifold which of course was turning it into steam and there was never a drop of coolant on the ground. It took me a long time to find where that leak was, it was really hidden. I would add coolant about every other month on mine. It was a very slow leak.

As for the A/C not working, that would not have anything to do with your heater core, if you have a bad heater core, I would think that you would have water on the inside floor somewhere or the previous owner would have disconnected the lines going to it in the engine compartment.

its normal for the water temperature to go up for a short time when you restart one like that, as for the coolant loss in it ,you could have a slight leak from a head gasket once it warms up that is only allowing the anti freeze to escape in steam form not liquid form and a leak like that is real hard to find, even a pressure check sometimes wont detect a leak like that,my truck was doing that for two years and i finally tore it down and had the heads checked and i had a tiny hairline crack in one of the heads that wouldn't affect the running part at all but it would open up enough to cause me to have to add about a half a gallon to it every 8-10 weeks,so i fixed it and haven't added a drop to it since then,so that could be where its going to,as for the fan running all the time a bad relay will cause that too happen to it,good luck with finding it ,it only took me two years, good luck.

not accepted i might fill it up one extra time shop a watch on it and then in case you could not locate out the place the problem is take it to the shop you had a great form of artwork completed it incredibly is conceivable there's a loose installation or clamp the is letting the coolant leak out.

It may be leaking into the engine and being burned out the tailpipe.

Gaskets or cylinder head problem. It can be tested.
